Why they have to take very uncomfortable stand? To increase difficulty?

I started competition shooting from the age of 8. Started in cub scouts using the daisy red Ryder then after a year of that I moved up to a real shooting team using the daisy 599 competition rifle have been doing Olympic style competition air rifle shooting ever since I'll never make it to the Olympics cuz my eyesight is terrible and is very hard to make it to the Olympics but I shoot on a national level where I compete against other guys in the United States it's a blast and I made it to nationals twice as a adult. And I was shooting against other adults around my age I don't shoot against kids. It's a blast shooting air rifles and pistols at a competition level. The margin for air is almost zero when competing at that high level which makes it a blast if you're not putting the pellet through the same hole in the middle of the target every time you have no shot at winning or you got to do at least close to that
